Testosterone Undecanoate is not recommended if you are allergic to it or have prostate or male breast cancer. By discussing your current medications and existing medical conditions with your doctor you can ensure this is a safe method of administration for you, and the possibility that other methods might be more appropriate.²

It was previously widely thought, based on an older study, that testosterone delivered orally was toxic to the liver, and so pills were not (and still typically aren't) commonly prescribed. However, a recent study found that oral testosterone carried no such liver toxicity over multiple years of the study, which included men of a range of ages.
